Offshore Oil & Gas - Shell Nigeria – Bonga FPSO
Anchored some 120km South West of the Niger Delta, the Bonga is one of the largest FPSO (Floating Production Storage & Offloading) facilities in the world.
MES Africa designed and installed OSIsoft’s Real-time Performance Management (RtPM) to serve as a base for future MES applications to be installed on. The RtPM system on the Bonga will interface with Shell’s existing onshore PI system and interchange data between the “beach” and the Bonga in real time.
- Data acquisition from the Foxboro AI system is via dedicated API interfaces with full buffering capability.
- The AMS system supplies data to the RtPM via an OPC interface.
- Numerous MIS reports relating specifically to Offshore operations have been developed for Shell.
